US Tax Specialist | Remote | Drake Tax software

Location: Any Site (Manila, Clark, Tarlac, Cebu)
Shift: Monday to Friday; 9PM – 6AM; REMOTE

About the role ….

We are seeking a highly skilled US Tax Specialist with deep expertise in U.S. business and individual taxation. This role is an individual contributor and subject matter expert, responsible for delivering high-quality, accurate work and helping drive process efficiency. Over time, we hope this individual will grow into a leadership role, helping to build and guide a small team.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and review U.S. federal and state income tax returns, with a focus on business entities (S corps, partnerships, and sole proprietors)
• Develop and update mid-year and year-end tax projections for clients
• Track quarterly estimated payments and ensure proper withholdings through payroll systems
• Identify and implement process efficiencies to streamline recurring tax workflows
• Work closely with the President, who handles client communication and tax strategy
• Stay up to date on U.S. tax law changes and proactively apply them
• Over time, assist in training and mentoring junior staff as the team grows

Qualifications / Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• CPA preferred.
• Minimum 5 years direct experience preparing and reviewing U.S. business and individual tax returns
• Strong knowledge of U.S. federal and state tax laws, especially related to small businesses
• Proficiency with Drake Tax, QuickBooks Online, Gusto, and TaxDome preferred
• Relentless attention to detail and a high standard for getting work done right the first time
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to handle multiple deadlines
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
• Self-motivated and comfortable working remotely
• Leadership potential and interest in helping build and lead a team in the future
